Synopsis: A robotic vacuum suffering from burnout quits its job at a hospital and sets out to find community and a greater purpose on a quiet street where two lonely rabbits are stuck in perpetual loops.
About the Filmmaker: Sean Pecknold is an independent animator and film director from Seattle, now based in Los Angeles. His work includes films and animations for Fleet Foxes, John Legend, Netflix, Dreamworks, Google, Sony, The New York Times, and the BBC. His animated film White Winter Hymnal won a Special Jury Prize at SXSW, and The Shrine / An Argument won Best Animation at the UKMVAs. Sean runs Sing-Sing studio in Los Angeles with his partner, Adi Goodrich, and has taught stop-motion classes in several cities. His recent animated film, Featherweight, was nominated for a 2022 Annie Award and selected as Cartoon Brew’s Short Pick Of The Day. He also directed stop-motion animation for Song Exploder and Worn Stories on Netflix and is preparing to direct his first feature-length film.
