Synopsis: Things are getting hot and heavy in the bedroom for exes Jay and Ellie, but when Jay can’t quite perform, he excuses himself to the bathroom where he hopes to give his penis the old pep talk – trouble is, the little fella isn’t a fan of Jay’s current sexual exploit. Soon enough Jay and his back-chatting penis, Dick, go head-to-head discussing raw truths such as toxic masculinity and what it means to be a man.
About the Filmmaker: Dario and Dom are a London based award-winning director duo. They first met at school and were soon messing about on old-school webcams making silly, improvised sketches. Emboldened by their creations, Dario and Dom innocently thought to give the whole directing malarkey a try – by picking up a camcorder and shooting a horror film… The results were abysmal. But, undeterred and driven by their shared passion for storytelling, they put down the toys, picked up some power tools and got to work experimenting furiously with genres, hitting their stride by crafting cracking dialogue, spot-on casting and a distinct in-camera visual style. Since then they’ve gone on to direct the likes of Kit Harrington and Andy Serkis. Determined to hone their craft and see just how far they could push their style, they began developing feature length projects and recently finished post production on their short film ‘Talking Heads’ starring Jordan Stephens, due to premiere in 2024, winning the coveted Short of the Week selection and screening at the BAFTA and OSCAR qualifying Palm Springs Festival. Dividing their time between advertising and drama, there’s always one constant – Dario and Dom’s knack for capturing humorous calamities through clever framing, charming tone and honest performances.
