Synopsis: Promising Signs tells the story of Gareth: an anxious and emotionally stunted teenage boy, and Sadie: an open hearted deaf girl who can only communicate through BSL. Over the course of one romantic evening, the two must cross a barrier of communication whilst also dealing with the distractions from a noisy and volatile outside world in this black and white ode to cinema romance.
About the Filmmaker: Isaac is an experienced writer and director who has produced many short films and feature screenplays. His documentary film “The End of Prison” was screened in front of an audience of hundreds of people and featured a panel of acclaimed artists and activists such as writer John Crilly in attendance.
