About the Filmmaker: Portia is a British/Irish writer and director. Shooting primarily on film, Portia’s work focuses on character-driven narratives centred around marginalised, strong-willed, female protagonists. Portia grew up in London, studying at Camberwell College of Art and the prestigious Courtauld Institute, where she received a distinction for her Masters Degree, specialising in Photography and Film in Global Contemporary Art. In 2019 she graduated from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, with an MFA in Writing & Directing. Portia has been sponsored by the BFI and Kodak.
