Synopsis: On the day of his grandma’s funeral, 17-year-old Red faces multi-generational demons in this surreal horror film exploring colonial trauma and Black family histories.
About the Filmmaker: Tom Blackman is part of a new generation of Black British filmmaking talent. His work centres on themes of culture and identity often expressed through magical realism and abstract imagery. Tom has honed his craft through a series of independently made shorts, the latest of which, This Land is All Mine (2021), was a part of TAPE Collective’s Black Country programme at the London Short Film Festival 2022.
