Synopsis: A lonely young girl’s encounter with a mythical being at the park takes her on an adventure to a new world where magic and friendship beckons.
About the Filmmaker: Born in 1976 in Swindon, England, Paul has degrees in fine art and animation. He has worked on several Oscar-nominated films, including The Illusionist, The Red Turtle and Klaus, and was the animation supervisor on Funan, which won the Crystal Award at the Annecy Festival. After working in several European countries, he settled in Japan in 2018, working with Japanese studios while maintaining European filmmaking relationships. Paul directed the animated sequence in Stone Turtle, which won an award at the Locarno Film Festival, and worked on The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, which won an Oscar. He is currently working on a new film by Sylvain Chomet.
