Synopsis: Set in the bedroom shared by three sisters in their teens, we follow them over the course of a transformative summer.
About the Filmmaker: Tracey Lopes is a writer and director based in London. Her first short documentary film MOTHERLAND won the Best New Talent: Documentary award at the BFI Future Film Festival 2020. Following this Tracey wrote and directed THE GIRLS’ ROOM a coming-of-age short film that takes place in the backdrop of 2000s inner city London, starring BAFTA Rising Star award winner Bukky Bakray. Tracey participated in a director shadowing scheme for Season 2 of the Disney+ comedy series EXTRAORDINARY. She was selected as a Film London Lodestar Writer for 2023. Passionate about bringing to light untold stories and unique perspectives to the screen, Tracey is developing a slate of projects for film and TV.

This film is showing in the Women In Film shorts screening at The Forum Auditorium on 11th November at 19:30.
This screening will also include a Q&A with selected filmmakers.
