Synopsis: Struggling to hold his own life together, a debt collector is sent to stand over a woman with inherited debt. His usual tactics fail him when he is thrown off balance by her threadbare but rich existence and the two of them discover a connection that lays the foundations for hope.
About the Filmmaker: Simon grew up in New Zealand and is now based in London. His first short film, THE CALF, was developed and funded by The New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) and received its world premiere in competition at Odense International Film Festival 2022. THAT WORKMAN’S ARM was supported by the NZFC and had its world premiere in competition at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2022. In early 2023 he completed an MA in Directing Fiction at The National Film & Television School.
