Synopsis: Frankie discovers that a long-time acquaintance has possibly died and fixates on an unfinished transaction with the man. His obsession feels duplicitous at first, until it reveals a man who’s grappling with his own mortality and status in a place made for living in the moment.
About the Filmmaker: Spencer Creigh grew up on Catalina island, CA. His poignant storytelling features sensitive, authentic performances often exploring ecology and the impact of aging. His first documentary short Last Sermon at George’s Creek premiered at DOCNYC and went on to win and screen at numerous festivals before being distributed by Atlantic magazine. Sheephead is his first narrative film. His work as a commercial director has brought him a Cannes Silver Lion for Direction, 6 CLIO awards, and more.
