Synopsis: We meet trans man Jamie and his celebrity one-night stand Vince the morning (well, afternoon – they overslept) after the night before. They’re affectionate, happy. But they honeymoon period is especially short here with Vince asking Jamie to leave the hotel room out the back door. Not because he’s a man, no. Because he’s trans. And TERFs can destroy Vince’s career. Stunned at Vince’s lack of self-awareness, Jamie agrees. Vince scrawls his number on his own headshot and gives it to Jamie, thinking they’ll make up later. However, Jamie has other intentions for that phone number…
About the Filmmaker: Charlie is a screenwriter and filmmaker who has received short film commissions from BFI NETWORK and Channel 4’s Random Acts. He has a feature project in early development with the BFI. Charlie is a BAFTA Connect member and has previously been a BAFTA Mentee. He works as a script reader for the BBC and British Film Institute. Charlie studied MA Screenwriting at MetFilm School in London and achieved the first Distinction in the School’s history. His graduation feature film script placed in a range of international competitions including the Academy Nicholl Fellowship.
