Synopsis: Laura, a pregnant environmental refugee is forced to leave her haven in the hope to find medical support and safety for her unborn baby. The film touches on present day issues like the cost of living, global warming and the refugee crisis and is set in an inhospitable world.
About the Filmmaker: Marta is a Producer, Writer and Director. In 2021 her first feature film, ‘The Midwife’, a psychological thriller that she produced and co-directed was released in the UK, US and Canada and distributed by 4Digital Media.
As well as focusing on her own projects, Marta works in the Visual Effects department for major feature films such as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, “Alien: Covenant” and “Ready Player One”.
She is passionate about storytelling and human connection and her goal is to continue exploring different realities and perspectives through movie making, as well as collaborating with inspiring individuals that will help her grow as a filmmaker.
