Synopsis: Nice, South of France, 1978. On Christmas Eve, Annie receives a phone call from her daughter that left her years earlier to join a cult. With the help of the police, Annie has only a few minutes to find out where she is and save her from a mass suicide…
About the Filmmaker: Born in 1992, Tigrane Minassian is a French writer, director and editor. He has worked as a videographer-scenographer in Ireland, Scotland and the United States. Since 2016, he has been working as an editor and co-artistic director with Adastra Films. In 2018, he assisted the directing workshop for the Vox Milo Festival (in partnership with the Directors’ Fortnight). In 2021, he won the “Plume de Cristal”, first prize at the Festival des Scénaristes de Valence. He also edited theatrical trailers for international sales companies such as Loco Films (“The Champion of Auschwitz”, “Borders of Love”), Indie Sales (“Adventures of a Mathematician”) and BFF (“Souad”). “Out of the Fog” is his first short film.
