Synopsis: In an alternate world where having sex means swapping bodies with the other person, a young woman struggles to be herself, defying her small conservative community where swapping is taboo. A deeply intimate portrait of identity in transition.
About the Filmmaker: BAFTA Breakthrough and Screen Star of Tomorrow, Mdhamiri á Nkemi is a filmmaker graduated from the National Film and Television School, where he was awarded the year’s Most Promising Student Award. As an editor, he has been involved in films that have been BAFTA nominated and Academy long listed, BIFA winning (The Last Tree, FEMME) and multi-awarded (Blue Story, The Devil’s Harmony, Facing It), working alongside filmmakers such as Ridley Scott, Kevin Macdonald, and debbie tucker green. Projects he has edited have travelled festivals including as Sundance, Berlinale, TiFF, SXSW, London Film Festival, and many others.

This film is showing in the LGBTQ+ Shorts screening at The Forum Auditorium on 12th November at 17:00.
