Synopsis: Filmmaker Tomas Ponsteen was adopted from Brazil and does not feel the need to search for his biological mother. After revelations about adoption abuses, to what extent is his choice not to search without obligation. Is it a moral duty of every adoptee to search for their biological mother?
About the Filmmaker: Tomas Ponsteen (São Paulo, 1993) studied Documentary Directing at the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. ‘Filho’ was selected for the Netherlands Film Festival and won the VPRO Documentary Award. Currently, he is developing a new documentary within a development trajectory of IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam).
