Synopsis: ‘Desire Lines’ are unofficial paths created as a consequence of erosion by footfall, usually representing the shortest route between two points. What do these say about our attitude towards the changing climate? Are we doomed to always take the path of least resistance? Or can we forge a new path together?
About the Filmmaker: Duncan Cowles is a BAFTA Scotland Award winning documentary filmmaker whose short films ‘The Lady with the Lamp’, ‘Radio Silence’, ‘Directed by Tweedie’, ‘Isabella’, ‘Alexithymia’, ’Taking Stock’, ’Just Agree Then’ & ‘In the Company of Insects’ have been selected for various film festivals, winning multiple awards. Duncan has been commissioned to write and direct documentaries for Channel 4, STV, BBC Scotland, BBC Radio 4, and was commissioned to make six 30 minute episodes of his own documentary TV series ‘Scary Adult Things’ for BBC Scotland & iPlayer.
