Synopsis: A film exploring sibling relationships and ableism. A young woman is surprised to see her chronically ill sister has a new life.
About the Filmmaker: Zoe is an award winning writer and director working across fiction, documentary film and theatre. Her work has been broadcast on the BBC, funded by the BFI, programmed at the Barbican and performed at theatres such as the Arcola. Zoe’s last collaboration with producer Celestine Fraser was the BBC & BFI funded short film, ‘ill, actually’. The film explored disability and the internet, winning the Katz Award for Best First Film at the Together Festival 2019. ‘Better’ is Zoe’s first funded fiction film.

This film is showing in the Women In Film shorts screening at The Forum Auditorium on 11th November at 19:30.
This screening will also include a Q&A with selected filmmakers.
