Synopsis: A troubled vagabond who ends the suffering of strangers must make an impossible choice when the time comes to keep an old promise.
About the Filmmaker: Mac Nixon is an award-winning Welsh filmmaker who has been behind the camera telling stories since he was five years old. His varied, cross-genre work is linked by a passion for telling unusual and surprising human stories, he is inspired by exploring the goodness in damaged and vilified characters as well as tackling the inner demons of good natured ones. Further to these dramatic works, Mac has written, directed and produced numerous award-winning comedy shorts and music videos.
Mac’s work has screened around the world at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Royal Television Society, Edinburgh Film Festival and more. In 2016, Mac worked with BBC Cymru writing the comedy short ‘Tuesday’s at Jackie’s’ and directing the award-winning ‘Leonard’s Neighbours’. Following that in 2017, Mac’s entry ‘Firmament’, won the Global 100hr Film Racing Competition.
Mac is a graduate of the International Film School Wales; he has worked in the film and television industries as a production coordinator and assistant director; and spent time as an in-house director for a Cardiff based creative agency where he made TV commercials for brands such as Oak Furnitureland, Glasses Direct, Freeprints, Tails.com and more.
