Synopsis: Paul desperately tries to get away from a lads night out. But in order to do so, he must play by the ‘rules’ and tell the group a story. Paul decides to tell the group a morbid story of an abandoned grave that he decides to tend, and the unexpected journey this took him on. Through a series of zany flashbacks we see a young Paul’s plight to form a relationship with his deceased father’s cemetery plot neighbour.
About the Filmmaker: Zak Harney is a Geordie filmmaker, with a wealth of experience in all varieties of film and television; including feature film, HETV, short film, commercials, music video and documentary. Having started as an assistant director, Zak made the leap to directing in 2017; starting initially with online content and music videos, before branching out into short films. His first short film ‘Bubbles’ won ‘Best Foreign Short’ at LA Short Film Festival and was selected for the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in 2018. Following this acclaim, Zak was featured as part of the annual ‘UNSIGNED’ exhibition at BBH in 2019; a showcase for the unsigned talent across all creative industries.
