Synopsis: A teenager is sent to stay with her grandparents. As she begins a budding friendship with a classmate, she is forced to confront her past and imagine a different future.
About the Filmmaker: Xiaowen Wang studied Production Design at the American Film Institute in LA and graduated from Parsons in Fashion Design, from FIT in jewellery design, and spent 5 years in New York gaining multifaceted arts experience. Before coming to the USA, she joined a famous Chinese studio, refining her filmmaking skills. She is a member of the Art Directors Guild, and for the past few years she has been directing for film and TV. Cocoon Love is her first independent short with international recognition.
