Synopsis: Martin falls asleep watching his clothes spin inside a laundrette, only to wake up and find his clothes have disappeared and the shop now empty but for a mysterious Cleaner. Peering inside his washing machine Martin gets violently sucked in, and so begins his peculiar journey. Through a series of revealing spaces we discover just what Martin was washing and why. Part-fantasy, part-dark comedy and part-horror, this is a story about a guilty conscious.
About the Filmmaker: Richard Paris Wilson was a music video director in his early 20’s, before setting up a charity in South London, teaching media skills to young students. He ran the group for 4 years before getting back into the filmmaking industry. Since his return to the industry he’s directed music videos for the likes of Zara Larsson & MNEK, Rag’n’Bone Man and Mr. Probz. He’s recently made the transition into commercials, directing spots for the likes of WWF UK, ScotRail and the Climate Coalition.
