Synopsis: Pen to paper, a sweet old woman (Jane Horrocks) can’t find the right words. But when she lends her pen to a hopeless young chap (Jason Watkins) a whirlwind of a chase ensues.
Struggling to reach him, she begins to realise it’s more than just words that elude her.
About the Director: Originally from Nottinghamshire, Micky Wozny studied animation at university before working as an animator in Sheffield, winning several awards for the content agency she worked for. Having a passion for storytelling and character animation, she yearned for a way to bring her own ideas to life. Deciding to leap back into education, she successfully applied to the MA Directing Animation course at the National Film and Television School. Whilst at the NFTS, she has directed Max (2018), Dots (2018) Let Her Rip (2018) and her graduation film Something Borrowed (2020). She also plans to complete another 2D animated short about a perfectionist and his pork scratchings. Whether it’s heartfelt comedy or snack-based tragedy, she is eager to take her creative spirit and passion for rich stories into the industry.
