Synopsis: Women perform attached to bungee ropes on the side of a rock face in a spectacular display of ‘vertical dance’. Their routine explores and celebrates women taking leading roles in today’s society.
About the Director: Janire Etxabe since an early age has been climbing “dressed in white” mountains, almost always her rope as a her companion. Her passions being rocks and rope, she spends most of her time climbing and dancing with her rope. Although for years she has received classes in flamenco and stylised dance, since 2017 she has been totally immersed in vertical dance, thus fusing her passions in different performances. She has a degree in Fine Arts, a Diploma in early childhood education and therapeutic Pedagogy. She can’t stop creating and always has some artistic project in her hands; looking for new “air lines” up there in the mountains.
