Synopsis: Roadkill is a stop-motion animated thriller, which takes place in a world where humans are prey and deer assume the role of predators. One night, an alpha male deer goes for an evening car ride, and brings some roadkill home after an unfortunate accident. This film cleverly explores the role of humans in relation to other animals, and provokes reflection on how we treat and regard the beasts that we share the world with. This film recently premiered at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.
About the Director: Leszek Mozga is screenwriter, director, editor and animator from Łódź, Poland. He discovered his passion for film and theatre in his native country, and decided to moved to London in 2005 to commence work as an animator and graphic designer. In 2019, he graduated with a Masters degree in Animation from the London College of Communication – Roadkill was Leszek’s graduation film. He currently lives in South London, where he is currently working on his next film.
