Synopsis: Ian Plinth, a has-been comedian, attempts to make his comeback on board a cruise liner. But he’s only used to performing with a partner, and now he’s on stage alone. One Liner provides an amusing trip through Ian’s subconscious as he battles nerves and isolation, and struggles against traumatic flashbacks from performances gone by. But re-finding his feet on the choppiest of seas was never going to be the easiest thing to do.
About the Director: Matthew Lee is an award-winning animation director, who enjoys working in a range of disciplines – from stop motion to 2D drawn animation. His short films have been shown in many international film festivals across the globe, and have picked up a host of awards along the way. He recently graduated with a Masters degree in Directing Animation from the National Film and Television School, and balances his work as a motion graphics designer in London alongside his creative projects.
