Synopsis: In a Tunisian village, children play football on an improvised field. Meanwhile, two young brothers – Abdallah and Mohammed – come across a donkey lost in the middle of desert on the border of Algeria. Strangely, the animal wears headphones over his ears, and carries bags full of a white powder on his back. The brothers decide to bring those bags back to their village.
About the Director: French director and screenwriter Yves Piat is passionate about storytelling, and indulging his fascination with cinematography and its meaning. He discovered his love of cinema through his work as a technician and studio manager on various productions. Nefta Football Club is his first film in collaboration with the French production company ‘Les Valseurs’, and has won a clutch of awards at festivals worldwide.
