Synopsis: A miserable hotel performer learns to express herself when she falls in love with a walrus. She struggles to use her voice until one day, she finds the curious animal sitting in her bathtub. And who knows, this encounter might just be the making of her. Listen to Me Sing is a stop-motion animated short film, with sets clad in fabric with a monochrome colour palette.
About the Director: Isabel is a freelance animation director based in London, who is passionate about telling weird and subversive stories using stop motion and live action. She has directed commercials for clients like the London School of Economics, the Royal Society and NomNom Chocolate. Her previous short film, Bye Bye Dandelion, won ‘Best Animated Film’ at Screentest Student Film Festival, ‘Achievement in Art’ at Portsmouth International Film Festival, ‘Best Student Film’ at Wimbledon International Short Film Festival, and was nominated for the IMDB New Filmmaker Award in 2015.
