Judges’ comments
Complex, story-within-story structure with a beautiful palette of blues and greys. Almost a German Expressionist feel about it, with strong, strange lines and angles. A child’s story but with a grown-up psychology. Engrossing and disturbingly beautiful. – Tim McInnerny
Confident use of unusually cinematic angles for an animated piece. Great skies and weather. Commendable sound design. Nice balance of bleak dystopian adult world versus the virulent imagination of a child. – Jim Field Smith
Loved the use of computer animation. Thought the reality/fantasy blurring was beautifully handled. A dark glimpse into the not-too distant future. Great soundscape too. – Steve Furst
