Judges’ comments
Simply shot and very well edited. It creates an alien, prison-like world very cleverly. It is moving without being sentimental. Pitched somewhere between fiction and documentary it tells its story with aching effectiveness. – Tim McInnerny
This is a well shot short film, which presents a situation in a way which isn’t to make to the viewer feel guilty about the boy’s disease but celebrate him instead. I really enjoyed this. – Bernard Hill
Simple, endearing, affecting and carefully judged. Refreshingly simple cinematography and unintrusive editing. – Jim Field Smith
I don’t think I have watched a short film that touched me in quite such a deep way. The subject was harrowing and incredibly well played by Darren Kent and the rest of the cast. This film stayed with me for days after and I cannot heap enough plaudits on it. Wondrous!!! – Steve Furst
