Welcome to Norwich Film Festival 2020!
Norwich Film Festival returns next month for it’s 10th Edition, running online from 2nd-29th November.
Throughout these dates, you’ll be able to access our brand new online streaming platform, where you’ll be able to watch all 132 short films from our largest ever Official Selection, plus bonus content such as Filmmaker Introductions and Behind the Scenes footage on select films – all from the comfort of your own home.
Alongside our Official Selection, you’ll also be able to watch a selection of films from partner organisations, such as Oska Bright Film Festival and the European Film Awards.
All films in the festival will be available on an On-Demand basis, similar to popular streaming platforms, meaning that you can enjoy the festival at any time that suits you, and entirely at your own pace.

Nominations
We’ll be announcing the 24 films which have been nominated for one of our prestigious awards in the coming weeks, with the winners being revealed towards the end of the festival! The films are being judged by our esteemed Industry Judges as we speak – we can’t wait to see the winners they pick!
This year sees the launch of two new award categories – Best British Film & Best International Film, replacing our previous Best Short Film category. This enables us to recognise even more talent as the festival continues to grow – but it certainly didn’t make deciding the nominees any easier!
Accessibility
Our move online provides us with the opportunity to make the festival more accessible and inclusive than ever.
The platform will available to access on a range of devices, including computers, smart phones/tablets (via Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS devices), and on your television (via Chromecast).
Our online platform will feature an “Accessibility” page, featuring clear lists of all content which is either dialogue-free or has subtitles available in English or another language. This list will be available in the coming weeks and throughout the festival.
We’ve also given every film in the Official Selection an age rating, allowing audiences of all ages to enjoy the festival. Please note that these age ratings should only be seen as guidance.
Further Information
If you have any questions or concerns about this year’s festival, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@norwichfilmfestival.co.uk, or by dropping us a message on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. We’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible!
We will not be running our usual Industry Events programme alongside the Short Film programme in November. Instead, we are hoping to run these events separately at a later date in 2021, with details to be confirmed soon.
