The Norwich Film Festival is excited to announce that screen icon Brian Cox will be acting as a Patron for the Norwich Film Festival. This puts him in fine company along with our other Patron’s Olivia Colman, Tim McInnerny and John Collee who support the continued development of a fine festival.
For those who don’t know a lot about him, he’s an Emmy Award-winning & Golden Globe nominated Scottish actor, with more than 207 credits to his name (according to IMDB). Brian first came to attention in the early 1970s with performances in numerous television films but his first big break was as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in Michael Mann’s Manhunter (1986). Further film credits have included; The Ring (2002), X-Men 2 (2003), Troy (2004) The Bourne Supremacy (2004), Red (2010) & Red 2 (2013) to name but a few. Brian had this to say about the Norwich Film Festival “Increasingly Film Festivals acquire greater and greater status due to the ever diminishing distribution opportunities for films of rare and original visions. Film Festivals such as this maintain film as an art form”
The Norwich Film Festival would like to thank Brian for his support and kindness and for agreeing to be one of the festival’s patron’s.
