Director’s Statement
‘In my career so far as a filmmaker I have recognized time and again that my strongest works have emerged out of a combination of spontaneity and intuition. In film it is the visual aesthetic qualities, the music and often a passing moment that moves me and makes me tick. Accordingly I wanted with this project to create an open space with great possibilities visually and musically, free from the limitations of overly pre-produced and conceptualized ideas, in order to achieve an authentic expression of positive energy. Therefore I took a risk, and only the basic framework for this project was prepared in advance. The shoot was improvised in order to inspire spontaneous authenticity from the actors, and thereby allow the audience to feel the tangible energy created by this momentum.’

Director’s Bio
Raised in Central-West Germany, Boris Seewald first ventured into digital media design and played music in various bands. He moved to Berlin in 2005 with a clear intention of pursuing a career in film, and began work on his own film projects and developing work experience in this field. Owing to his innate ability to coordinate image and sound, Boris seeks his form of expression in the rhythmical illustration of music. Boris Seewald is primarily self taught, though he is currently a student at the film school. His self-education continues still, and has combined his studies with freelancing work in the area of directing, editing, music and design. His award-winning music video for “The Feast” by Ralf Hildenbeutel ran at numerous film festivals worldwide.
