The Norwich Film Festival is excited to announce that the brilliant Director Julian Jarrold will be acting as a Patron for the Norwich Film Festival. This puts him in fine company along with our other patrons Olivia Colman, Tim McInnerny, Brian Cox (actor) and John Collee who all continue to support the development of a fine Festival. For those who want to learn a little bit more about Julian. He is a BAFTA Nominated Film and TV Director hailing from the glorious county of Norfolk. His credits include Great Expectations (1999), Kinky Boots (2006), Becoming Jane (2007), Appropriate Adult (2011), The Girl (2012), A Royal Night Out (2015) and The Crown (2016, 2 episodes directed). Julian has not only been nominated for a BAFTA but also a Primetime Emmy, BIFA and won a Broadcasting Press Guild Award. Julian has also served as BAFTA judge and was previously a judge here at the Norwich Film Festival for 2 years. We were also pleased to welcome him during our 2016 festival in which our opening Gala featured the screening of Kinky Boots in a former shoe factory (St Mary's Works) where we were fortunate enough to hold a Q&A with Julian after the screening. The Norwich Film Festival would like to thank Julian for his support and kindness and for agreeing to be one of the festival’s patrons.
